Unspoken Thoughts of Women in the Bible is an excellent source for Women’s Bible study and discussion groups.  Katie delved into her imagination and using Biblical scripture wrote sensitive and thoughtful accountings and experiences of women in a very different time.  She created a collection of first-person narratives of  171 incredible women in the Bible – giving insight into their many hardship and triumphs.

Katie Lewis O’Brian grew up in rural Mississippi in Times of both want and plenty.  The stories in this book are memories she has of her childhood and stories told to her by family.  The stories run the emotional gamut from heart wrenching to heart warming to comical.

After the death of her first husband of 20 years, Katie found herself being courted by a Mississippi Southern Baptist minister.  As God would have it, she became the wife and helpmate of a country pastor.  After his death, Katie wrote a book of remembrance (just a sampling) of their forty-three year marriage in service to God and their fellowman as a tribute to him.
